The language of hype!

It’s safe to say that language plays a key role in the public uptake of new information and discovery. Regarding the Interstitium, as far as I have read to date, the term “new organ” has been headlining most of the publications, both on social media and even within more scholarly groups, when in fact many researchers have been looking at this for some time as the differentiating factor between traditional bio-mechanics and the physiology of load and force as the transportation system for cellular tissue.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the concept of rethinking the visuals because we can, all of a sudden, see what we innately knew had to be there! However, the great Tom Myers sheds some perspective on this that I promise you will enjoy.

Apologies in advance, I know I said I would NEVER geek out on this blog but it’s far too important to take a moment and critically think about what we see and read, so as not to misinterpret fact and application within our crafts as health professionals.
